The Story of the Lamb

Blood. Death. Substitution. A Lamb. Very early in the story of God’s people we're introduced to the powerful theme of something - someone - dying in the place of another. This cultural understanding of sacrifice - this redemption through blood - becomes the means for humanity's liberation. This was the greatest foreshadowing; an event pointing to another sacrifice with not just locally, time-bound consequences, but universal and eternal implications.
