Jesus > Priests

The priesthood of Jesus is one of the central themes of Hebrews. In the Old Testament, the High Priest represented the Jews before God. Like the high priest, Jesus mediates between God and humanity, but Jesus is not merely a human high priest, he is the GREAT High Priest, who is both a priest and a King. Christ the High Priest sits on a throne - a throne of grace! What does it mean for us, that Jesus isn’t only our great High Priest, but our King? How does this impact how we do church and understand worship?
