Living Sacrifices (Easter Sunday)

The only sacred altar is this one - the cross. The cross represents what has been done and never again to be repeated. The entire Christian belief system rests upon this foundation of done, not do. We have been forgiven, redeemed, and atoned for - there is nothing we can do to save ourselves other than accept this gift of grace. When that grace enters our hearts, we respond by offering ourselves - our bodies, our lives - as living sacrifices. And in doing that, we point to the one who died in our place and then rose from the grave, conquering sin and death forever!
