The Gift of Worship

We're unable to simply will or think ourselves into new loves, new desires, and new habitats of the heart—we must practice them. The centre of Christian practice for shaping a heart that loves God is worship; specifically, corporate worship. There is no sanctification without the church. It's in the rituals of worship and the practices of community that we learn a hunger for God and have our ultimate hungers satisfied.
