Resist

A fresh wind of God’s Spirit brings courage, boldness, joy, peace and, a new strength to resist sin. Charismatic Christians speak of ‘binding’ sin and evil, but the Scriptures primarily call followers of Jesus to resist it. Few shortcuts are found in life or in the spiritual realm. Our calling is to press on with spiritual endurance - an endurance that comes through reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. We know that the ultimate spiritual battle has been fought and won - so we should live into that truth! Sin has power, but Jesus has more.
