Chapter 2: The Little Big Things

Small things often go unseen and unnoticed in our world, but Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of God is like a little mustard seed or a bit of yeast. These things - proverbially the smallest things you could think of - are things that bring growth and transformation. The Kingdom of God stands in deep contrast to our modern concept of progress and not only invites, but requires that we be a people who refuse to be hurried. In God’s Kingdom, slow and steady wins the race, and as disciples, we’re invited to plant small seeds that grow to significant, unignorable proportions.
