The Way of the Cross

As the Jesus movement continues to gain momentum, the disciples are excited to see their vision for Jesus come to fruition - that He will drive out the Romans and restore the nation of Israel. But Jesus has a different vision in mind. It's so different, in fact, that when Jesus shares it, Peter rebukes Him. The Jesus way is one of victory - but not in the way his disciples, or even we, have in mind.
