The Full Armour of God

Armour serves both an offensive and defensive purpose - providing protection in the midst of battle. In Ephesians 6:10-20, the Apostle Paul talks about a different kind of battle - not against flesh and blood, but against powers of darkness - and a different kind of armour to equip ourselves for such a fight - the armour of God. This set of armour includes truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, salvation and the Spirit. In today's world, the concept of armour is vastly different from Paul's time. How was armour understood in Paul's time and what does the full armour of God look like today? How can 21st century Christians cultivate these important pieces of armour?
