It's assumed that the truth is contained in ourselves; that to find the answers, we simply need to look within. But when we try to be our own sources of truth, we slowly drive ourselves crazy! Christians are invited to trust an external source of truth; a moral order beyond oneself, answers that aren't derived from within us, but from within God's Word.
