Recognizing the Gift | Christmas Day

The Gospel of John tells us that even though Jesus "was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him." How is it that the Creator of the world was not recognized by his own creation? The problem has to do with our definition of glory. We don't see glory as something we receive from God, but as something we achieve for ourselves. So how does God respond? He sends his glory to us wrapped up in a baby. The glory of the Father became flesh so that we could see what real glory looks like.
