The Maturity Question

What's the wise thing to do? Asking this question could save us a load of regret. When we're young, we like to ask - “Where's the line?” - and then get as close to it as possible. But as we age and (hopefully) become more mature, we realize that it's foolish to live on the edge of what is permissible and legal. Paul urges us not to toy with the darkness, but to run toward the light. That moment where we actually cross the line and have to face difficult and painful consequences as a result, is often preceded by other, not wrong, but unwise choices. Paul invites us to live wisely.
