Sabbath as Protest

Every gospel writer has a story about Jesus doing something on the Sabbath that makes people angry to the point of wanting to kill him. This should make us wonder - when we talk about, think about and practice Sabbath as followers of Jesus - what implications does that have for us? How might our Sabbath-keeping be an act of holy protest and a way to give others the gift of Sabbath rest?
