I am the Light of the World

At the conclusion of Sukkot, Jesus makes this remarkable claim of divinity! Jesus himself claims messianic fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophetic word. He goes on to argue that His testimony and teaching are legitimate without external validation - a claim to truth and divine status. We will unpack this claim, dispensing with the Jesus was a ‘nice guy’ modern cliche, and proclaim that Jesus is who He said He is. We will ask what it is that light does and see how Jesus is the light!
