Idealized Past

When God's people entered a time of transition during their long journey toward the Promised Land, they longed for the past even as God gave them hope for the future. Why do people sometimes find transitions so difficult? Why do we view the past through rose coloured glasses, and find it hard to imagine a brighter future? Maybe it's partly brain anatomy, and maybe it's hard for some to trust God. Our country is opening up after a long time of COVID-19 restrictions. How will we move forward through this transition?
