Not A Machine

In stark contrast to the world of its day, God commanded his people to not work for one whole day! Even God rested; not because He was tired, but to reflect on the goodness of all He had made. We too are commanded to stop, to cease, to rest. In an increasingly 24/7 world, we need to be reminded that we are not machines, but human beings who are created in the image of our loving Heavenly Father. Our worth and value are not ultimately in what we accomplish.
