Foundations of Discernment

In Romans 12, the Apostle Paul points to three foundations for Spirit-led discernment: our primary allegiance to a merciful God, the renewing of our minds and our need for Christian community. While this may seem like a simple receipe for discernment, we discover that there are some obstacles in our pursuit of discerning God’s “perfect and pleasing will”.
