Psalm 23 | God Our Shepherd

Aug 23, 2026    Leah Beldman

Humanity carries a deep restlessness that can only be satisfied by knowing who we belong to. As our circumstances shift from idyllic green pastures to the depths of the darkest valley, Psalm 23 directs us to the source of our belonging and rest: our Good Shepherd, Constant Companion, and Abundant Host. He remains faithful when we falter and present even when we feel distant from him. Because we belong to him, we are invited to stop striving to earn or prove our identity and instead receive it as a gift from the God who loves us.

Like Psalm 23, this profound truth can become familiar rather than dumbfounding. The call is to behold a God who is near in our restlessness and doubt.
