Power

A proper set of beliefs is essential, but doctrine alone is far from enough - proclamation and teaching is not enough. We are invited to trust that God will continue to reveal Himself through "signs and wonders" to us today! We are invited to trust that the gospel continues to change hearts and lives and make people new! As the author of Hebrews notes, the word of Jesus was confirmed by signs, wonders, and miracles and the gifts of the Holy Spirit were distributed. God’s power is meant to accompany God’s teaching. When we become satisfied with a lack of spiritual vitality, we miss out on the power of the Holy Spirit to do God’s work and live the life He invites us to live.
